Los Angeles, California welcomes Rotarians!

One of the largest and most diverse cities in the world gears up for the 99th Annual Rotary International Convention – 15-20 June 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA. See the Stars! Share the spotlight with fellow Rotarians in the entertainment capital of the world.

Los Angeles is the ideal stage for Rotary International’s annual extravaganza. Like the family of Rotary, this sprawling metropolis of 3.8 million people boasts a diverse ethnic mix and cosmopolitan flair. L.A. is the second-largest city in the United States and teems with activity and culture, from its star-studded motion picture industry to its picturesque beachfront communities and resorts.

They are rolling out the ‘red carpet’ for Rotarians, and promise lots of opportunities to ‘See the Stars’ while you are with us. Los Angeles is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World and has numerous tourist attractions. It is also a major point of entry for countries in the Pacific Rim, and has many ties with Asia. While you are in Los Angeles, you can expect to have beautiful weather, exciting entertainment, shopping opportunities . . . and a chance to ‘See the Stars.’

at the California Experience and Nokia Theatre, as you have a delicious meal in a local restaurant, or as you walk along our beautiful streets.

Enjoy the Evening Stars...with a picnic dinner at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl, a beautiful natural ampitheater set into the Hollywood Hills where you will enjoy an evening of your favorite Hollywood music – all under the stars!
